I used to shop in the Vermont Book Shop all the time, before the renovation. Although the "modern" book shop is nice, the store pre-renovation was truly an iconic Vermont institution, and one that Middlebury's main street misses a great deal. I still come in occasionally, and the staff is wonderful and helpful.

Hello,
I am from the Daytime, F.A. Day Middle School's student run newspaper. We have won the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's gold crown award for middle school papers for the past ten years. We are currently running an article on Newtonville Books and how they are now closing the Lizard's Tale portion of the store and converting it into a Used Book Annex, and wondered if we could use your photo. We would credit you as having taken the picture and it would run alongside the article. Thank you so much for your cooperation!
